Apparently Reg's track frames whilst built by Raleigh, held some hidden secrets (no, it wasn't a pouch of his favourite tobacco) in the form of additional liners added to the chainstays from the bracket shell, to stiffen the whole bottom end up - not surprising given Reg's legendary power.
Reg, inventor of the "Lullaby" technique....
Oh, and he rode a Lenton in his "road" training, or did someone mention that already ? :-)
