Initially, this makes sense, but when you look from a different point of view, you may think differently. Quite often, an item will go unbid at auction, even for a very reasonable starting value. The item then relisted at Ebay for a second go, sells for big dollars. Even if the starting price seems high, these collectible items can still regularly get good attention via bidding. I suppose Ebay is not unlike a true garage sale, except for its huge size ... that is, you never know who will be in the mood to shop, or buy today. If these "re-offered" items are not taken here on the CR list, they will undoubtedly be relisted on Ebay, most likely with successful sales. This is the nature of collectible bike parts, and Ebay, I think. Some sellers (like me) list with low starting values, out of concern for not generating bids. Often I see these Ebay items sell for far below their "value", or that is, at a dollar figure significantly below that of other similar Ebay items that ended. This occurs in addition to those items selling for good high amounts. Still other sellers, seem to know the value that they place on their items, and are not willing to compromise that expectation. They know items will sell the next time around, or perhaps after a few subsequent attempts. I admire sellers like this, and wish I had a bit more "moxy" when it comes to pricing. For this reason, I don't see offering these unsold Ebay items directly as any insult. Just my humble "accumulator" (uh ... "collector") point of view. Double offerings however, I'm not in charge of :)

With respect to use of this list for items previously listed on eBay:

I was interested in some of these items; they are here now because they rec= eived no bids on eBay. Yet, they are listed here at the same price they were listed for on eBay.

If no one in the world was willing to pay the asking price, including list = members (who follow eBay), then why would you not at least reduce the askin= g price somewhat before listing the items here?

I can see using the list to give list members a special opportunity to buy = items to be listed on eBay; I cannot, however, see using the list to re-lis= t eBay items at the same price that no one in the world was willing to pay.

Latest list of an English touring frame and other parts for sale to CR members before or after they have been to Ebay. Please ask for photos if you're interested. I can deliver some items for a nominal cost to the Cirque. A frame at present costs $120 to send to the USA.

If you have trouble getting the picture links to work make sure you get or paste in the whole link as some of you I know are having trouble with lines not wrapping properly.

All items are priced in $. Shipping will be extra charged at cost. Payment can be made in cash with dollars or by money order in Pounds sterling ($1.70 to 1 GBP). American Express Travellers cheques in $ are also fine. I can take PayPal but I have to charge 5% extra to cover wha= t my bank charges me.
