As a pure exercise in trivial matters, while updating the English builders in the Used Bike Buyers Guide (thanks to Mike Butler), I decided to do a word search to count the number of listings for builders from England, France and Italy. Understanding that there are many makes that I haven't yet captured (Mike provided a bunch of new English ones today), I did the count. The result:
English builders: 205 (if I include Scotland, add 4 more) Italian: 186 French: 95
The Wolverhampton website helped the English count as I did an update a couple of years ago using their information. Steven Maasland edited the Italian portion a year or so ago. I typically add about two new makes from some place every month, usually from discussions on CR or from Ebay listings.
