and then there is this one ,
It was made sometime in May of 1966 .
It's painted in that lovely flamboyant color which Schwinn called "Sky Blue" .
Someone has stolen the chainguard ( which had the model name on it ) .
Someone has stolen the fenders ( and if it was the model called "Schwinn Traveler" , then the fenders were not merely chrome-plated , they were actually stainless steel ! ) .
They made these at several "trim-levels" and with several "model-names" , as single-speed coaster-brake , as 2-speed "Automatic" with coaster-brake , and if you were willing to pay for even more , as 3-Speed with Weinmann aluminum caliper-brakes .
What a lovely and worthy and practical nice-old-bicycle .
It was definitely worth more .
I probably should have tried to adopt it . . .
But then , I shouldn't go looking for more trouble . . .
But she was so lovely , in such a simple and honest way , and deserved better , I hope somebody doesn't do something bad , like strip her down for parts . . .
I should have tried to adopt her . . .
( NO! you can't have any more! )
( but she wouldn't cost much or take up much room , and I'd take real good care of her , honest , and give her a bath , and get her a license , and take her to the veterinarian for all of her shots , and she's just such a sweet little puppy . . . )
