Many thanks to all members of the List who sent emails on and off the List about this frame of mine. They were very much appreciated.. and helped to raise a veteran cyclist'
s hopes of a treasure, albeit fleetingly. In an email to Ken Denny,( copied to the List,) who sent excellent Jpegs of his elegant machine, I have explained the reasons for my conclusion that my petite track frame must be the work of some other Italian artist-craftsman-framebuilder.
If any of you Italianophiles could possibly come up with any other possibilities I'd be more than grateful. Perhaps I might have to face the possibility that this frame is, after all, a 1930/40s British piece of building,as the VCC member advised last year. But that explanation would not explain the 100% Italianate rear triangle, seat cluster, and frame number.
