Just a quick note to let everyone know that I called the bank that issued the credit card I used to purchase the dutch Colnago on ebay...and in five minutes they issued a credit. The charge is now in dispute, and if the seller does not counter, the credit is made permanent.

Simple as that. I didn't even have to fill out a form, the rep did it right over the phone.

For those who may not know (I didn't), the seller has 45 days to say that I received the item and must provide proof of same. If the item shows up, and the seller provides proof, and I do not dispute the charge, then the money is released. Otherwise, the credit is made permanent, and I'm out nothing.

Simple. So I'm feeling fine.

It'll be interesting to see if Mr. Van Asseldonk comes out of the woodwork.

PS: thanks for all the information and offers of help, and a special thanks to Baron's wife Cecile, who made some phone calls trying to find this guy. I'm grateful to you all! Thanks!
