I felt certain I must be crazy for thinking about doing a microscopic chain-link repair , on one of those tiny Sturmey Archer indicator spindle chains .

I thought I was crazy for thinking about it , until a Sturmey Archer expert ( living in England ) told me to simply take a brand new , common , AW - style chain , and use it for spare links . . .

Since I don't think I'm ever going to find a microscopic CYCLO chain-rivet-tool . . .

I'll just have to search for the right tools , and techniques . . .

I've been trying to work up the nerve , for a while now .

And isn't it a shame that the new chains are NOT as nice as the ones from decades past ( and a different color too ! ) !!

Best of luck all around !

Well I have one for you Anglophile/Sturmey people out there. The indicator chain on my ASC has popped one rivet on a plate, right where it comes out of the wingnut of course. I sweat blood every time I click. Is this fixable or am I SOL?
