I checked the park website and there does not seem to be a remover for a shimano freewheel from the early to mid 70's. Does anyone know if one of the other park removers will work? or does anyone have a sugestion on how to remove it? I checked for a model name and all it says is "Shimano Freewheel."

The first generation Dura Ace freewheels used a Regina two prong remover. Regina, Bicycle Research, and perhaps Park made suitable removers.

I can't recall which company first went to a splined remover. But one did (probably Regina), and then the other, and unfortunately they went to different splines. Regina copied the Atom spline, and Shimano did their own, which still lives on; their cassettes have a lock ring that has the same spline as their freewheels.
