I'm happy - new to me is a classic Aussie Speedwell (i think). Lugged steel. Fixed gear. Old ..... well, a lot older than me & perhaps a few of you. All over chrome (or is that nickel). I haven't done anything except for take some pics. Patina intact. Im no expert but i think most of the parts are much later than the frame, except perhaps the headset, BB and cranks. Magistroni Williams Brambton Cinelli Weinmann Fiamme Birmalux Exceltoo Atom ... coolamundo .... & then there's the frame ;-)

Below is a few other sites that I used for reference, especially going by the Speedwell serial #'s, Im starting to think that the frame could well be an oldie ... perhaps from the 30's. Will head to the Dunc Gray Olympic (2000) Velodrome as there is a bike that Aussie gold medalist Dunc Gray used in the LA Olympics in 1932 .... has some similar frame details. Awaiting news from the curator of the Canberra (national) Bicycle Museum to hear what they think.

Feel welcome to share what you may know either of the frameset or the parts on it (especially dates). Anyone have a current email address for Rolf Lunsmann? All input appreciated.
