Bob, your Masi Special was designed to use either Universal side pulls (Mod 51 or Mod 68) or Universal center pulls (Mod 61); that is, if you're using all Italian parts.

Campagnolo didn't make a short reach when your frame was built. Of course you're free to do anything you want to your bike...
