Subject: [CR]Medici serial numbers

My Medici is stamped on the underside of the b.b. shell, from left to right:

three center punches -or periods- lined up vertically; 49; .0026T

What does this mean? I can guess the 49 is the frame size, but the three vertical dots? And the rest? Does the 'T' stand for touring? The stickers on the bike before repaint said Gran Tourismo.

Jack,

Actually, if it's an early one, it probably would be worth checking into. I have number "0345" here; it was given to me. Missing fork. Needs some work and a repaint. It's 56cm. Check into the serial number. A friend has number "0183" and it's a very nice piece. It may be too nice for a bike rental in Seal Beach.
