When was ATOM/Normandy merged into Maillard ??

The Raleigh74 catalogue on http://www.bulgier.net says it should be a maillard oro 13-26 (hey, i also own a raleigh pro 1974, its a small world). In fact after the merger ATOM was a brand name of MAILLARD, so what you have might be a stock freewheel. For example, in that era, small flange hubs were called ATOM, large flange Normandy, but the skewers said ATOM and the guts were the same.

I think that atom SIX SPEEDS were relatively rare, especially as aftermarket items. The five speeds were ubiquitous because they came on nearly all schwinns (schwinn paramounts came with the rare and expensive Suntour Pro-Compe! sheesh!)

I can tell you that the stock 1974 raleigh international came with simplex 14-24, and the 1973 competition came with a 5-speed atom 14-24 freewheel. So did the raleigh gran prix in that era.
