Subject: [CR]Normandy Competition Hubs ?

Opinions of these hubs ?? You don't see very many for sale in the aftermarket. They were a french campy-copy hubset, common Peugeot PX-10 bikes and Raleighs. Are they reliable, or do rear axles break or the cones go bad easily? Do they polish up nicely, or is the aluminum of poor quality for polishing ??

I have heard a few bad things about the dust caps - you have to remove the axle to tweeze out the bearings on these hubs, since they don't have removable dust caps.

I'm curious why, on any given day, there are ~10 campy high flange hubs for sale on ebay, and zero or one set of normandy competition hubs for sale on ebay.
