In Lyotard, the "A" stands for "acier" (i.e. "steel.")

The all alloy Lyotard pedal was the "Lyotard Type 65 Competition." This pedal was a typical road style pedal with heat treated cast shell (body), light alloy cage and was their top of the line pedal. It had no flip tab which is a pain in the neck as I have a pair on on of my PX-10's and they are always hard to get into when moving away from a stop light with cars all around. They weighed 310 grams compared to Campagnolo's SL at 327 grams and Barelli's Supreme alloy at 350grams.
