As one who is relatively new to the collecting aspects of the
bike-life, I'd just like to put in my two cents (I guess when some of
these bikes were made that was worth something). The whole weekend was
just a great experience. Both the swap meet and the Concours were
opportunities for me to meet a great bunch of people who, up untill now,
were only names and/or competitors in the ebay bidding wars. Talking to
Maurice, Steve, Pete, and Ken and others whose names get a bit blurred
(and I'm not talking the father, son, and holy ghost, etc. here) was
just great, and gave me a real sense of the intensity and love that
everyone has for these bikes. Meeting and gossiping with Richard Sachs
was also a treat. So much of the old racing life to re-hash. I love
it! Anyway, thanks to everyone who was involved in making these events
happen. I can't wait to see what The Cirque is like in the spring.
