Just acquired an almost original 1965 Carlton Catalina. Thanks go to Steve Maas' Catalina restoration site for inspiration. Only non-original bits are SunTour Cyclones F&R replaced the Huret (Alvit?). While the Suntours work great, I would prefer more period-correct derailleurs without resorting to original Alvit or other problematic bits. Would Simplex Jubilee or Campy Rally be OK and would they hook-up to the separate hanger?

Also, something I've never seen before, this bike has a rear derailleur cable guide brazed to the bottom bracket shell but the cable guide for the frnt derail is a clamp-on Campy. Is this a holdover design from a five-speed?

Both Williams crank and Brooks saddle indicate 1965 and the 999 Weinmann Cntrpulls have red label.
