>>>just bought a Colin Laing: David White<<<<

David -

Congratulations on your new acquisition. I ,too, have an early Colin Laing. I think mine may be even a bit earlier, guessing around 72/74ish. I've outfitted it with '72 Campy N-Rec kit. What is interesting about the one I have is that the name is hand painted in rather ornate lettering on a painted black panel on the down tube. Mine is orange, with white lug lining, and the lugs are very similar to yours. It was custom built for someone who's name is also hand painted on the top tube (can't remember the name at the moment). I can post some pix when I get back off the road. I've also spoken with Dale about adding Laing to the CR-site listings, and I think it's something that's in the works. Jeff Archer also has a really interesting Colin Laing. Didn't Colin's son also start building frames? In Arizona maybe?

Definitely a KOF.
