I was interested to see the subject of George Brooks appear on the listings after Mick's introduction of this marque. As I was the second owner of this frame it was pleasing to to see it again. I was instrumental not only in taking and supplying the pictures shown but having the respray carried out before Ken Wallace purchased it from me along with the Hobbs in February 2003 .
The restoration work was carried out by Vaz Finishes of South London a made a superb job of it. His work and finishes are the best around and he being a former employee of Holdsworth as the paint sprayer and his experience shows in the finished job.
Before selling it to Ken Wallace I did the research into the history of this maker with the help of his former club mates in the Middlesex Cycling Club.This included an interview with his friend George Smith now 92 years old who kindly confirmed our conversation and his comments in writing.
Just thought I would record my interest as the previous owner and put one or points to right thats appears to have been misleading.
