I just got a 1984 "Palo Alto" brand bike on original condition (sans pedals). It has a full Campy Super Record group. I'd like to switch its brazed-on downtube shifters over to Campagnolo bar end shifters, but I'm not sure what kind of cable stop would be period-correct. My LBS gurus aren't aware of a Campy part for this, but said there were some aftermarket parts that were used back then. They also said that these parts were generally garbage, and that if I wanted to actually ride this bike (which I do), that I should go with current Campy or Shimano stops. Does ayone know what would have been put on this bike back then?

Thanks!
