Pirelli has owned the Clement brand for a while now. Just recently they decided that they were going to retire the brand, then they decided not to do that.

Subject: [CR]Vintage Tubular tires

> I have just received a number of silk tubulars from Italy. They are all marked Pirelli Cronoman seta extra. Does anybody have any idea as to the vintage of these tires? When did Pirelli stop making tubulars? My Italian contacts have given me varying dates for the production of Pirelli tubulars. The tires are exceedingly lightweight track tires.

Molded into the tread rubber it says Clement, does this mean that Clement made all or a certain part of the Pirelli tubulars, or simply towards the end of the existence of Pirelli tubulars?
