An odd combination of events, seeing some horribly abused old bikes this weekend, and accidentally stumbling across a website selling a John Hartford Model banjo, started me pondering the probabilities and possibilities that somebody might issue a "Larry Osborn Model" rusty piece o crappe vintage lugged steel bicycle when I die, or just go away and quit annoying people. If it were to happen, good chance it might look something like this: http://ebay.com/<blah> rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW That is one sad old Raleigh Pro. I hope somebody takes pity on it. On the plus side, it does NOT have an AVA death stem, so it's not going to turn right around and try to kill it's new owner. That's a good thing.

Makes my trusty rusty Pro look almost patina-free by comparison. Suddenly I'm much less embarassed by the condition my old pal is in. But suddenly I've seen the future (or at least a possible future), so I also feel the need to do something nice for it. Chasing down "new" wheels for it last week, but it doesn't know that yet. Friends don't let friends rust. Wax on. Wax off.
