In art their is the rule of 40--no artist can be good till 40.In collecting(no matter what you collect) there is a rule of 40 too. When people turn 40+ they have the money to buy the toys they didn't get earlier. So those items go up in demand($$),As the new group turn 40 they want different stuff so the older high price stuff starts to slid. In the antique cars model A were hot--then they started to slid in favor of 60s era.But with cars--bikes--or art, good high quality examples rebound after the slid and keep appreciating in value---so go for the good stuff!
