One of the big reasons why Schwinn private-labled their parts was so that they could source equivalent components from multiple manufacturers without noting so in the catalog. Usually there was some variation in the part from the version sold under the manufacturer's label, though such differences were often cosmetic and sometimes for the worse.
++++++++++++++++ The '73 Paramount catalog that I have says that the P-13 (road-racing) has Schwinn-Approved rims. No telling what they shipped, of course.
