I dunno, Don. Had they switched to cloth tape in '74? My '72 has Schwinn-Approved plastic HB tape in Campus Green, probably made by Hunt-Wilde. I know that, at one point, Schwinn sold S-A cloth tape, but I think it was all Japanese (CatEye?), not French.

Also, the chrome Union spokes came in S-A boxes, though the ones used at the factory were probably bought in bulk. If they never get labeled Schwinn-Approved, are they anyway?

Didn't 1974 Paramounts come with reflectors? How about the S-A toeclips? Straps? And don't forget the S-A centerpulls (Weinmann).

\r?\n> I'll go out on a limb and claim here that the only relabeled parts on

\r?\n> any 1974 schwinn paramounts were :

\r?\n>

\r?\n> - "GT-300 LeTour" derailleur (Shimano Crane)

\r?\n> - "Schwinn Approved" thumb shifters (Suntour barcons)

\r?\n> - "Schwinn LeTour" 27" tires (Panasonic / Panaracer today)

\r?\n> - "Schwinn Bicycle Tube" 27x1 ( ? )

\r?\n>

\r?\n> This is from my 1974 untouched (except tires) P-15 - I am the second

\r?\n> owner, in 1980.
