This is a link to the all 531 lugged steel Trek 660 I bought on eBay a few weeks ago:
I bought it cheap with the intention of robbing the Campy stuff for a 1974 Raleigh International frame I bought from Jason Cloutier at Larz. I was going to replace the Campy with Japanese, probably SunTour Cyclone or Superbe. However, I'm having second thoughts, thinking maybe I should keep this thing original. My question is, how original is it as it stands? The equipment all seems from the same era, I believe the RD is marked 1984. But it is quite a mix of marques, Campy, Mavic, Modolo, SR, Stronglight. Can someine who sold these "in the day" confirm whether this is all original equipment? What would the original pedals have been? Anyone have an opinion as to whether a Trek 660 is classic enough to even worry about originality?
