Hi all, my on going project for a fixed wheel sunday rider is as follows,
road frame with 126mm rear spacing, Galli double chainring crankset with
47T SR chainring on the inner and a Campagnolo cyclo cross guard on the
outer, 16T Suntour 3/32" rear sprocket fitted to a Campagnolo Pista/track
hub converted to road axle & q/r.
As yet I have not done any checking as to the chainline alignment, I do
have some leway with the rear hub so far being 128mm with road locknuts,
changing the locknuts to pista items will just about bring it back to the
std 120mm track width, so as you can see with a little use of pista
locknuts, washers I can set the alignment at that end OK.
I have a could of other issues, the use of a road crankset and using the
inner position, the Galli CS is a Campagnolo lookalike, does anyone know
if there are any issues with the offset?, The frame has a std BB axle
fitted, I am not expecting the chainring to be a problem with the frame,
but then again thats why I am posting this, I have not done this before,
and am hoping that some input from maybe a lister that has done something
like this, I have as yet not done any mocking up, and will be making some
tools to check chain alignment. Would like to hear from anyone that has
