My prototype Masi 3V is made out of Mannesman tubing.

Norris mentioned Mannesmann tubing in relation to the Rixe frame. It should also be pointed out that Mannesmann also had an Italian plant in Dalmine (just East of Milan) that was producing large quantities of quality seamless butted bicycle tubing in the early post-WWII period. I have been told by an unreliable source (no I am not talking about a former CR listmember), that this is the same company that later took on the name Oria and whose management then went on to found Dedacciai in 1993. Can anybody confirm or dispute this rumor?
