This question relates to a damaged Fiamme Ergal rim. I ended up with a mismatched tubular wheelset in an e-mail trade. I noticed the rear wheel had very loose spokes, so I brought it up to a ride-able tension on the wheel stand using a spoke tension guage-but not a lot of tension. On closer inspection I noticed the rim had yeilded somewhat around every eyelet but I didn't notice any cracks. My guess is that the original builder used too much tension and the rim had to give, thus the spokes went slack. So, is it still rideable? Or did I get screwed yet again on a crummy trade? Some day I'll find a decent tubular set. I shoulda kept my Ambrosio 10's....
