Subject: [CR]CLB cables

Greg,

Indeed the CLB is alloy in the housing only. The wirse were squishy braided steel. Alloy cables would be almost as stupid as alloy spokes (though Mavic Ksyriums actually do have reliable alloy spokes, but they are both huge spokes and OT). I listed the CLB cables before I saw others do the same. In this case, unlike say the SR BB, I was pointing to performance, not failure potential. They were not prone to any failure that I know of. I just figured that they would add some "excitement" to any already marginal brakeset, liek the Kronos, by virtue of the extra sponge factor. OTOH the action tends to be very smooth, IIRC. I picked up almost 20 sets of CLB allloy cables at T-town several years ago, and sold them at a fair profit to Mr. Kone. I suspect that these are at least some of your current stock.
