This is just my opinion of course, but this really isn't the forum for an endless thread on "shimmy". This has discussed ad nauseum on the newsgroup "rec.bicycles.tech" and Google http://www.google.com now has a search feature to search newsgroups.

The result: http://groups.google.com/groups?q=shimmy&ie=ISO-8859-1&hl=en&btnG=Google+Search (there are 41,700 posts) Makes great reading on a winter's night.

Or there is the CR archives <http://search.bikelist.org>: http://search.bikelist.org/?SearchString=shimmy&Scope=classicrendezvous (there are 93 posts)

Of course this was all summarized in the FAQ.

Good reading...
