Now that we're on the subject of exclusive stems (one of my favourite "bits" of a cycle since you're looking at it so much riding!)...
Can anyone supply a pix or specs of what the "stock" stem was on the Raleigh Record Ace (RRA) c. 1948-50?? This was apparently a special alloy one, possibly by Reynolds, and one of the coveted "oh, you'll never find one of those" components for this fabled machine. I have a good lead on acquiring a '48 RRA which, of course, is sans stems, pedals and headset... the juicy bits are always missing!! I don't mind hunting for the impossible, just like to know what I'm looking for. And not likely to get.
