Yeah, the deal doesn't work on resale price, but we all know that restoring classic bikes, for instance, never pays if one intends to resell the restored bike. But we do it anyway, because we love these things, even if there is no money or negative money in it. I am glad to have it, and the seller is glad to get $700 from someone who appreciates it. So the brutal economic realities were not allowed to kill the deal. One must always consider economics, but one shouldn't allow money to dictate everything. As a very wise man said 2000 years ago, "The love of money is the root of all evil."
