Many thanks, Jack.
The Clubman piece will soon be joined in RetroRaleighs by one on the famous Lentons: the Lenton Sports, Super Lenton, Lenton Tourist etc.
I have started work on a history of the RRA as well.

Er, well, maybe... just as long as there are no competitors out there for my desired Rudge and Humber Clubman variants! I have '48, '49 and '51 Raleigh Clubmans and that's plenty! This is, in my humble opinion, simply of the greats of the Classic Era of British Cycling.

Indeed. I think the "International" was the last multi-purpose high-quality lightweight made by Raleigh with something akin to the comfortable but competitive frame angles of the club bike. And yes.. even designed to have that essential component of a classic British cycle: mudguards.
