Help !!
Lost in the colonies , can't find way back home !!
Claud Butler
Abused old frame
With terrific rear dropouts , and those mid-stay mud-guard fitments , and a grease / oil fitting on the bottom bracket shell .
Beautiful sky-blue color
Abused old paint
Bare frame , no front fork
Plus bottom bracket cups ( Claud Butler adj. & T.A. fixed )
Built-in headset cups ( no mention of races )
PLEASE , could somebody rescue it ??????
And , the trivia-contest questions for today :
1.) What's the purpose of those extra slots , behind the normal axle-slots , on the rear dropouts ?? The left one has been cut or broken off . But if you look closely , you can see where it was . The normal ( vertical ) slots have their open faces pointed towards the ground . The extra ones are pointed towards the sky .
2.) What model might this have been ??
3.) What year might this have been made ?? ( Because I enjoy leaving myself open to humiliation , I'll make my first guess 1948 , and my second guess 1938 . )
