Regarding the Wedgelock chainset it had alloy cranks and rings. One of our small group said that in the later version of the Pitman book (59-60) "The Cyclist's Handbook by A.L.Pullen there is a write up on these. anyone have a copy to check this out?

I was told that when Reg Harris road for Raleigh he had to have special cotter pins made, due to his enormous strengh. Could this be the idea for these strange cotters? Most sprinters favoured 5 pin fixing. Best wishes and be lucky. Michael Butler Huntingdon UK.
