OK, Here we go. Deep breath.....
Now I'm ready.
I am offering a wonderful machine at a discount to you all first, then on to ebay she goes. I really hope it doesn't come to that.
1947 Baines Whirlind "Flying Gate"
She's been meticulously restored to period correct perfection. No detail has been overlooked nor expense spared. Features include: Harden large-flange hubs, Le Simplex derailleur and shifter, very desirable CLB Competition brake set, aluminum Bluemels Airweight mudguards, Ad-Hoc pump, Chater-Lea crank set, Conloy clincher rims, Phosphor-bronze stem, Lycette Swallow saddle, etc. I have the history of this cycle to include with the machine to the lucky buyer.
This bike is essentially perfect with a tiny dent on the seatstay (one of the four) where someone had mounted a generator bracket. Otherwise it is perfect. Most definitely Concourse material.
