Eric,
Interesting photos. First thing I notice is that about 95% of lug designs are very close to the same; especially after someone finishes some of the older styles that are rough from the factory. I figured there were a lot more interesting styles out there. I have a barrell full of lugs and a few boxes full that I'm sure contain at least a few styles that aren't shown. Probably quite a few types, actually.
If anyone out there has a few of the Prugnat "Type I" lugs, I would like some. I have two sets, I need a few more.
As I look at this stuff, it's clear to me that what someone does with them is more important than what they look like out of the box. One look at the Pacenti website will demonstrate that. I'm rather surprized there isn't anything in the "French style" a la Rene Herse/Alex singer. Makes me glad that I incorperated that theme in my rendition of the Pacenti lug. Of everything there, personally I find my Pacenti design most interesting without being overly fancy or complex. Just my personal taste.
Of the lugs on the site, I still find the Haden lugs the ones I would be least likely to use.

There has been very little discussion about the fantastic lug reference site which Richard Sachs and others donated so much time and resources to. Back last year I had posed the question to this list of why there was no lug reference guide available to us CR'rs. Click on the link below and check out all those beauties!!! Time for some discussion about them, don't you think?

Check it out and let's get some on list comments, questions and dialog.
