I cleaned up an old pair of clamp on shifters with the cable guides getting ready to put them on my late 60s Woodrup, and was opening up the clamp to fit it around the tube, but it seemed to open a little too easily. I thought, hmm, this may not be good. Sure enough, when tightening up the screw, Ping! the clamp broke where it had been flexed one too many times. Anyone have a spare clamp of this type, maybe from a set where the parts were robbed to put on a frame with braze-ons? I've got some of the later ones without the guides but this bike is crying for the earlier style.
