Hi All, I thought you all might like to see a large 4 foot by 3 foot water colour painting I brought last year. I think it dates from about the late 1940's. It is called "Queing for Coke" as this is what the people are doing. Lots of bicycles. I was told it may be by Stanley Spencer, But it is not, I took it to the largest Art dealers in London, Simon Dickinsons of St james. They said it may be buy one of Stanley Spencers pupils, as he was a teacher at the RCA?. But they were unsure, Since then I found a signature, But It is too faint to make out the letters. It is a real insight into life in 1940's England, at a time when the bicycle was the main form of Transport. Hope you all like it, Click on the link to veiw it. Kind Regards & keep on Pedaling, Tim Gunn
