Subject: [CR]RRA frame measurements

Here are the principal measurements for the 1957-58 Raleigh RRA "Moderne":

frame sizes: 22", 23" and 24" angles: head 73 degs, seat 71 degs top tube length (22" frame): 23" wheelbase: 41 1/4" bottom bracket height: 11 1/8" chainstay: 17 1/4" fork offset: 2 1/2" wheels: 27 x 1 1/4" cranks: 6 3/4"

Could these be considered to be typical for this era or just British lightweights?

Some considered this variant of the RRA inferior to the revered 1948-52 version, criticising its handling. It didn't last very long and was withdrawn c. 1960.

Raleigh lightweights had similar measurements it seems from c. 1951-1962. Then they went to 72 deg seat and head angles until the new era of Carlton made machines c. 1969.
