I am interested in getting some parts re-chromed: Chater Lea crank and pedals, but I recognize that I have no idea where to begin, beyond looking in the yellow pages under replating or some such category.
What questions does one want to ask? Is there a way to gauge whether they will do a good job? And what would one expect to pay for such a job?
