Tom-

I rode these tubulars in 1976 and used to buy them from West End Cyclery in Richmond, VA. They were made by the same company (I believe) in Italy that made Vittoria's -- don't quote me. D'Alessandros were great tires and they offered about a dozen training & racing tires ranging from about 400 grams down to 170 grams. I rode their Giro'd'Italia's at 260 grams for $18.75 ea.

http://www.YellowJersey.org<http://www.yellowjersey.org/> has had them in the past and can get them. The brand fell on tougher economic times in the past 5-6 years and manufacturing was moved to S.E. Asia. I have heard that there may be an effort to take the company functions back to Italy.

Hey:

Anyone heard of D'Allesandro tubular tires? When was the last time they were imported to the US, if at all? Did they have a good reputation? Are they still around? Anyone have catalogue pages or posters or anything like that?
