CR FOLK:
Concerning Colner: in the 1978 Giro, the 4th place finisher Wladimiro Panizza of the Vibor team rode a green Colner. His 1978 bike had brazed-on top-tube brake cable guides, so the bike in the auction is likely earlier than that.
Panizza's bike is pictured in the Kennedy Brothers book on the 1978 Giro.
The bike looks like a Colnago but in a different suit -- spade insignia instead of clubs (this close juxtaposition of spades and clubs on Colnago product makes the "flower" story seem even less credible to me by the way).
Some of Eddy's Molteni Colnago bikes sported spades, including spades milled into the front of the seatpost (shown during 1973 in "Stars and Watercarriers" video). Perhaps they were all Colners!
