I've seen a few Rochets. And I have a 1963 or 1964. Unfortunately they were road bikes and track bikes, not tourers. The bike is outfitted like a classic randonneur bike. Light racks, dynamo, internal wiring.

Gene Portuesi's personal Rochet bike, hanging in the back room of his shop, had steel cranks. Even into the mid 1970's he'd ride around on a fixed gear in the relative flat regions around Cadillac, Michigan.

Too bad there aren't any photos of the seat cluster and the derailleur.

If it didn't have a Juy 61 or Raid 32 Derailleur I'd guess it was from the early 50's. Assuming the derailleurs are original equipment it would be from the 1958 to 1962. The frame seems top end. The components seem top end but top end for the 40's and early 50's.

The description suggests an 11 tube Reynolds 531 Frameset. Super Special suggests lots of chrome. I think its a very nice bike. Top end tourers from the 50's and 60's in the US are rare and very under appreciated.
