Hi All, Sorry for the confusion with the Brit cycling speak on an earlier posting. In the UK most cyclist's call the Cycling the comic and in last weeks edition there are some very interesting articles. Every year in Tuscany in Italy there is a ride called the "l'Eroica". This takes place in early Autumn. I had better translate that. The Fall to you guys. The ride is intended to recapture the heroic era of cycle racing approximately pre World War One. In keeping with this time they use the "Strade Bianche" or white roads of Tuscany which are unmade dirt roads. The article is about this ride which was undertaken by the cycling journalist Richard Hallet on 1932 Raleigh Record. The route is 200 kilometers long and next year takes place on October 2nd. You can check it out at http://www.parcociclisticodelchianti.it The Comic also contains next years Tour de France route and an obituary to Ken Jowett the former Viking Professional. Anybody want to join me for next years ride? Thats if you can understand me. You might have better luck with the Italian language. Sound a great ride and well worth doing.
Yours in cycling. Michael Butler Huntingdon UK.
