I'm just curious Dale. Would you exclude my 1959, absolutely seamless,
cutom made Les Ephgrave fillet brazed track bike? He was, as I
understand it, esteemed not just for fancy lugs, but for impeccable
quality. On the other hand I have, over the years, taken various
Italian lugged bikes in for respray jobs after race crashes. I remember
once, I brought a Rossin in to Tom Kellogg. Although he did the paint
work....he thought the build work was, excuse the expression, piss-poor
and mass produced. It did race will however.
