"Soul," for my money, is poured into a creation by the builder, and is not dependent upon any specific technique.

I would have agreed with Suzy until I saw one of those fillet-brazed curved-tube Bob Jackson frames...I found it very fine, and I have to agree with Tony...especially after I acquired a rather rare Gillott L'Atlantique fillet-brazed frame from the 1950s..the Gillott is just lovely, and the perfect touch is the very traditional double-fluted seat- stay caps that wrap all the way around the seat-tube..

Very pretty, very delicate, and most of all it marks the frame in a unique way..a bit of elegant decoration amid the smooth function of flawless fillet-brazing.
