If I'm not mistaken, those Huret rear dropouts on the Gitane are cast, not forged. I have a TdF frameset (which I haven't built up yet) that has the chromed version. Those dropouts are a big reason why I bought the frameset (for all of $34). But, do any listmembers know of any problems with those dropouts breaking? As a further generic question, I wonder what are the relative tensile, Rockwell and other strength values of typical cast dropouts vs. forged ones?
