Congrats, Ken... nice to see another primo piece of British lugged steel en route to this corner of the world.

The latest VC-C newsletter had a nice feature on Gillott's "Continental' frame set which I believe this is.

Lovely colour. Duck egg blue I believe. Pity about the modern Reynolds decals through. Gillotts were unusual in usually having the Reynolds decal behind the seat tube actually.

None of those Eye-Tie bits on this... Gillotts I've seen were British through and through. The 1951 catalogue stated: "We built this frame especially for the man who wanted a 'continental' design without the inherant defects of imported frames."

Anyway, well done, lad. We shall have to organise a proper British club ride when you get this on the road and Paul Raley finishes his second '48 RRA. Marmite soldiers and mugs of Bovril at the end. Mudguards mandatory. And keep to the left. Please.
