That's only due to the drop in the value of the US dollar. Everything I import from GB and Europe is costing much more than it did a year or two ago. For example, in 1999, you could buy one Euro for about $.87. Now it costs $1.29.
So it should come as no surprise that the cost of most foreign products has gone up.
